What do you use for a LAP TOP DESK? Where can I buy a good one for cheap?

I just bought a 17" laptop and I want to use my computer while sitting in bed, outside, etc...

There are lots of options for a laptop desk so I am looking for someone who has a laptop desk who can point me the right way.

Reccommend a product for me please! =)

The beauty of a laptop is they are small yet versatile. In order to know what type of desk ya want to use first stop and look at your laptop Accessories. what all do you have plugged into it? The more you accessorize the more luxurious you may want to be. Also comfort is another key factor. Then there is security. Personally I find that a roll top desk is best. As for cheap try Craigslist. On that site you can obtain very very nice things globally for pennys or less.

A spare piece of acrylic, particle board or plywood all work fine. If you don’t want sawdust everywhere, you can get something finished.

Any hard surface should work. I use a fiberglass (or something) sign that used to be used to mark a meterological station put up by the government. It works.

Really all you want is something that (when you use it on a bed) to prevent the laptop from sitting directly on the sheets, that blocks the air circulation. As for outside, it’s a laptop, it is meant to be used on your lap. No desk required.
